Hello Techstravaganza Friends! Happy Tuesday Everyone!
This is just a friendly reminder that our upcoming techstravaganza will take place tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday,June 11, 2025) from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Eastern. Please note that Techstravaganza is an ongoing weekly workshop, so you will not need to register every week. Please note that all sessions will be recorded for your reference and your listening enjoyment.
Important Announcements:
Return to Google Meet as of Wednesday, June 18
It is with regret that we inform you that as of Wednesday, June 18’s workshop, we will be required to return to Google Meet for all sessions going forward. Over the last couple of weeks, Zoom has implemented updates to their software which resulted in problematic accessibility issues, now making it almost impossible for us as screen reader users to effectively schedule and host a meeting. After much thought and further testing, we felt that returning to Google Meet would be the best course of action, and will allow us to continue to provide weekly workshops to help you along on your technological journey. This being said, we can appreciate and completely understand the frustration of having to switch back and forth between platforms, and wish to extend our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. We hope that you will continue to join us on our journey, and I’m more than happy to assist anyone who is experiencing difficulty with the Google Meet platform in order to ensure that you’ll be able to join us and get the most out of our workshops.
Also, please note that due to prior commitments on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14, we have decided to reschedule our Techstravaganza 2.0 session for this coming Thursday, June 12. That’s right friends, there’ll be not one, but TWO workshops this week! Come join us on Thursday as we continue our series on YouTube Music, focusing on YouTube Music on the iPhone/iPad. Please stay tuned to tomorrow’s email, as it will contain the conference information. Also, please note that this will be the last Zoom session for Techstravaganza 2.0 before we return to Google Meet on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

On last week’s Techstravaganza, we took an indepth look at Apple’s Handoff feature, allowing us to copy/paste text from one device’s clipboard to another, as well as handing a website, an email and a FaceTime call over from one device to another. This week, we will dive into part Three of our tutorial on specialized assistance apps for blind and partially sighted users, taking a specific look at AIRA and Envision AI.
