Happy Tuesday Techstravaganza Friends,
This is just a friendly reminder that our upcoming Techstravaganza will take place tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday,September 24, 2025 from 12:30 to 2:30 PM Eastern (Toronto Time) for this week only. Techstravaganza is an ongoing weekly workshop, so you will not need to register every week. Please note that all sessions will be recorded for your reference and your listening pleasure. Please also note that our Zoom studio is set up so that everyone is muted upon entry. As such, you will need to manually unmute by pressing Command+Shift+A on the Mac, and Alt+A on the PC, or *6 on your landline phone. Also, if your Zoom app is not set up to automatically join audio, you will need to do so manually by choosing the Join Audio option upon entering the meeting. We recommend that you please join the workshop 15 minutes prior to start time, in order to settle in and ensure your setup is working correctly.
Special Announcements:
Please be advised that on the last Wednesday of the month, Techstravaganza workshops will run from 12:30 to 2:30 PM Eastern, due to prior commitments on that day. All other workshops will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Eastern as per our regular schedule.
Also, please be advised that I will be absent on Wednesday, October 1, however the workshop will continue as scheduled, under the capable guidance of Ali Moosa. I hope that you will enjoy the tutorial, and I look forward to being back with you on Wednesday, October 8!

On this week’s Techstravaganza,, long time participant Sherry Foster will show us a fun and useful trick for creating and using a custom ringtone and text tone in iOS 26. In Apple’s latest major update of iOS and iPad OS, it is now possible to use files shorter than 30 seconds natively as custom ringtones, and you can create your very own tones with a simple yet powerful audio editing app called Ferrite.
Next Wednesday, October 1, 2025, our very own Ali Moosa will begin a multi-part series on podcast player apps for the iPhone and the iPad, starting with iCatcher.
