Techstravaganza will not be switching time slots on days I have a commitment afterwords

Good afternoon Techstravaganza Friends,

I will be away from Techstravaganza on Wednesday, December 3.

However, the workshops will not be impacted.

All future workshops will stay from 1:00 to 3:00 PM regardless of whether I have a commitment afterwords.

In the past, we have moved it to 12:30, this won’t be the case going forward.

We want to provide consistancy .

Techstravaganza is staying in its current form

Hello Techstravaganza Friends,

If you were on the workshop with us last night, (Thursday, October 9) we announced there would be a slight change to the workshops.

However, your feedback, and stories on how much of a positive impact these workshops have had on you, has lead us to reverse this change.

Techstravaganza is staying in its current form.

Which means, the weekly Wednesday afternoon workshops will continue, as well as the second Thursday of the month in the evening.

All of them will continue to be posted after the workshops.

Siena and I have enjoyed doing these over the past eight years, and they will continue for many more years to come.

Updates to the Techstravaganza Website! Tutorials link and Search box!

Good evening Techstravaganza Friends,

Here at Techstravaganza, it is my goal to make the site as easy as possible to use, as well as ensure you are able to find exactly what you are looking for as quickly as possible.

As of today, I have done exactly that!

When you first visit, http://www.techstravaganza.ca, you will see the link to the Tutorials category is now the second link at the top of the page. This is the single place all tutorials are posted.

There is now a Search section on the page, which is the first link!

This allows you to find specific content when you know what you are looking for.

For example, you can even type in “Thunderbird On the PC” (without the quotes.) It will bring up all the newsletters relating to that search criterea.

Agenda update for Wednesday, October 1 workshop

Hello Techstravaganza Friends,

This is just a quick update to the agenda for our workshop for Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The original plan was to begin taking a look at podcast player apps on the iPhone and the iPad starting on Wednesday, October 1. However, as iOS 26 has just ben released 3 weeks ago, we will instead take a look at what is new in iOS 27, both in the operating system itself and various VoiceOver enhancements that have been introduced. As such, our multi-part series on podcast player apps will begin on Wednesday, October 8. Please also note that I will be away on Wednesday, October 1 due to a prior commitment. As such, next Wednesday’s tutorial will be under the capable guiance of Ali Moosa. As always, thank you so much Ali for your help and support, and I look forward to being back with you all on Wednesday, October 8!
